President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he is offering a $1 million cash reward to individuals who report voter fraud in prior contests or the upcoming 2026 midterm elections, provided the information results in an arrest and conviction. ‘ Sarah Beth Hensley contributed to this report.

Writing in a social media post, Trump stated that anyone reporting election fraud will receive $1,000,000 upon the conviction of those responsible. The White House declined to offer further specifics regarding the announcement, and it remains unclear where the funding for the promised payouts will originate.

The announcement follows Trump’s persistent and unfounded claims regarding widespread voter fraud in previous elections. As part of his broader election agenda, Trump has advocated for the SAVE America Act, a legislative measure requiring voter identification at polling places and proof of citizenship to register. While the House passed the bill earlier this year, it has repeatedly stalled in the Senate.

In related actions, Trump directed the Department of Justice to file a lawsuit blocking the Alaska Senate race results if the Republican candidate suffers a narrow defeat. Separately, Amy Acton called on Trump and JD Vance to “look at the facts” following an attack advertisement released by Vivek Ramaswamy. In an unrelated criminal matter, investigators discovered a woman’s body inside a massive tank following a yearslong probe. Trump told DOJ to sue to block Alaska Senate results if Republican narrowly loses.

The monetary offer comes shortly after Trump unveiled a distinct whistleblower initiative last week. Under that program, tipsters who successfully uncover government fraud receive a 1 percent commission on any recovered funds, with Trump retaining final authority over who receives financial rewards.
