The Higher Organizing Committee of the UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses recently convened for a periodic meeting at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental hotel. The session was attended by Sultan Al Hemeiri and Matar Al Yabhouni Al Dhaheri, alongside committee members Musalam Al Amri and Secretary-General Faisal Al Rahmani.
Discussions centered on reviewing the results of the 33rd edition, which has garnered significant attention at historic racecourses worldwide. The committee highlighted the notable achievements of these events, emphasizing high participation from elite breeders and owners, substantial public turnout, and the effectiveness of media campaigns held across four continents. These elements have solidified the series’ premier status within the international horse racing community.
Looking ahead, the committee finalized plans for the upcoming stages of the Cup. The meeting focused on establishing rigorous logistical and organizational standards to ensure the remaining races maintain peak quality. Additionally, members explored new strategic initiatives, including expanded cooperation with international racing partners and the development of digital promotional campaigns designed to broaden the event’s global reach among equestrian enthusiasts.
The competition was established in 1994, reflecting the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to enhance the international prestige of the Purebred Arabian horse. Over the past 33 years, the series has received consistent support from His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court. Today, it stands as the world’s most valuable and prestigious event of its kind, serving as a critical platform for preserving cultural heritage while cementing the UAE’s leadership role in global equestrian sports.
