Kriti Sanon recently delighted fans by posting a surprise reunion with her Bhediya co-star Varun Dhawan and the film’s director, Amar Kaushik. Sharing a short clip on her Instagram Stories this Monday, the trio appeared in high spirits as they playfully mimicked a howl, a direct nod to their horror-comedy project. The video, captioned with a note suggesting they might be working on something new, read: An unexpected reunion that will get you “Obsessed”! Stay Tuned.
The social media post has led to widespread speculation that the team may be preparing an official announcement for Bhediya 2. If a sequel proceeds, it would mark the third time Kriti and Varun share the screen, having previously starred together in the 2015 film Dilwale. Varun further amplified the buzz by resharing the post on his own official social media channels. These three might be planning an announcement for “Bhediya 2, while it is not certain.
Released in November 2022, Bhediya follows the story of Bhaskar, a road-construction contractor portrayed by Varun, who is bitten by a wolf while working in the forests of Arunachal Pradesh. The plot traces his subsequent transformation into a werewolf. Kriti plays the role of Anika, a veterinarian whose character harbors more knowledge about the unfolding supernatural events than she initially reveals. He soon begins experiencing a strange transformation into a werewolf, after the incident.
Beyond their professional collaborations, the actors share a close friendship. Earlier in May, the pair were seen at a gathering featuring Kriti’s sister, Nupur Sanon, Nupur’s husband, singer Stebin Ben, and actor Varun Sharma. The group enjoyed a lighthearted evening, captured in a video where they danced to the track “Tera Ho Jaun” from the film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. The song features vocals by Stebin and Jonita Gandhi, with lyrics by Vayu. The romantic number has been crooned by Stebin, along with Jonita Gandhi, with lyrics penned by Vayu, for the unaware.
Meanwhile, the Sanon sisters have also been sharing glimpses of their personal bond online. In a recent video, Kriti and Nupur showcased their contrasting personalities through a lighthearted routine where they lip-synced to film songs like “Main Heroine Hoon” from the movie Heroine and “Sharara Sharara” from Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai. These interactions follow a significant year for the family, as Nupur and Stebin Ben were married in Udaipur this past January in a series of traditional Hindu and Christian wedding ceremonies. The video begins with Kriti lip-syncing to “Main Heroine Hoon” from Madhur Bhandarkar’s 2012 film ‘Heroine,’ starring Kareena Kapoor. The mood then shifts as Nupur joins and grooves to “Sharara Sharara” from the 2002 film “Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai,” starring Uday Chopra, Tulip Joshi and Jimmy Sheirgill. Nupur and Stebin got married in Udaipur in January 2026 in ceremonies that included both Hindu and Christian traditions.
